yeah... dude with the gto... you were right
this was my first time EVAR, i was so frickin nervous i was just staring around the first time and i noticed it was at the last yellow i wasnt even revving any and i bogged sooo hardcore had like HIGH 2 second 60ft and ran a 10.7!!! ouch
then the second race i was paired up with a beastly old school mustang and my left leg was shakin like a mofo i drive a 5 speed, and i usually hook well at 3K on the street, like ive killed many cars on the street from a dig....until they hook LOL, but anyways i was revving to 4K launched .15 early then all of a sudden the other stang just passed by me like i was in reverse then i noticed i was still in first at like 4-5 k with the rear end a lil wobbly had a 2.78 60ft with a 10.3 1/8th i was really dissapointed
i need better timing launching practice and parts, i crack under pressure too, but no excuses i sucked ass lol. like 4 people at hobby lobby were like are you the guy that cant drive??? i was like first time and i suck anyways
O WELL ill shut up now, need more practice

Hell i was launching at 4K and 3.5K and still spinning until the eight. Damn 225's dont cut it on that slick ass track. For my light ass rwd.

It was a good thing I didn't run...I would have been pissed with the delay.

Don't worry about it man. Your expectations were to high for your first track visit. Nobody goes out there and pulls great 60's their first time. It's all about learning the car and that usually takes time. Just keep going back and practicing.

What happened to cause a delay?

I'm not 100% sure because when I pulled up, they had already been delayed an hour.

Just takes practice, don't let your first trip ruin it for you. My first trip I ran low tens. 3 Weeks later I ran low 7's

also i have a new engine and on the old one i could launch at 3K and sometimes bog... and i thought at a track i could do 4K lol.... well yeah i guess with the new motor and clutch im making more power to the wheels lol but still not much lol
to those who are confused i have a 97 mustang gt, friend has the cobalt he ran a 9.8 against me with a decent launch and then a 10.7 with crazy spinning... on the street when i raced him i put like 2 cars on him on the launch then he got to me
i really crack under pressure and had no idea how much pressure there was lol, is it open for random people to race on saturday and when does it open... does anyone have a website?

Try starting a little lower with the RPM on the launch. You aren't just revving and dumping are you? You don't want to do that on street tires especially from a high RPM. Try a quick slip and roll into the throttle. I haven't launched a rwd car before, but dropping the clutch from a high RPM on street tires does no good on any drivetrain configuration.
This it the last month for the Wed and Fri Test N Tune. You have a couple Saturdays in November with the weather permitting. This should be a good month with it starting to cool off now. Good luck.
