Disable Viper Car Alarm? HELP!!!!!!!!
I just bought a 1995 Nissan Maxima and it had a Viper alarm installed a while ago. The alarm was not wired properly and now it is really having some problems. I can't hook the battery up because the alarm starts the car WITHOUT EVEN HAVING THE KEY IN THE IGNITION! I can't drive the car until I disable the alarm. THIS IS URGENT! Does anybody have ANY suggestions on how to shut it down?

Find the brain and unplug the main harness.

Viper alarms have remote start....

If the car starts, it will auto shut down if the brake is pressed or if the transmission is switched out of park without the key.

I think I found the brain. Now I just have to find the harness. as for auto shut down, It doesnt matter if it shuts down when i press the brake or shift the transmission because it starts without be being there.

There are 3 ways to disable DEI alarms.
Putting it in valet mode with the remote, with the valet button in the car or unplugging the power harness(s).

With the remote:
Open driver door and push the lock, unlock then lock button and the led light will turn solid in color.
With the valet swith:
Assuming you alarm is going off. Open the driver door and find the valet swith(usually a black button with a gray and black wires coming out) turn ignition to on(not cranking) and back off then press the valet swith once. This should stop the alarm from sounding. Repeat prosses to put alarm in valet mode. When led turns solid your in valet mode.

The harness:
Should be a no brainer.
