Ever since my data got corrupted, i've been trying to keep a backup copy by going to the main menu and slecting 'save game' after each session. Today i played on the backup instead, thinking that it shouldn't make a difference and i found something interesting out: If you simply insert another memory card and tell it to save, the ONLY CAR YOU'LL HAVE SAVED IN YOUR GARAGE IS THE ONE YOU'RE CURRENTLY IN.
Insead, you'll need to go to the memory card manager in the main screen of the PS2 itself and manually copy over the game. Make sure it's a working save before you copy though, or you might overwrite your backup with a bad file.
Seems that the save methods of GT4 are the biggest weakpoint.
cliff's: GT4 sucks at the saving.
