View Full Version : crx sway bar...

Recently I got pissed off at my car's body roll being similar to that of an suv and decided to do some research. I went through several crx/EF forums and most people recommend getting a Neuspeed front and rear sway bar setup (along with lowering it with a decent shock/spring setup, but that's not practical for me right now). Sucks cause my DX didn't come with lower control arms that had mounting points for a sway bar, so I have to go find some Si arms.
Anyway what I'm asking is if anyone knows where to get a neuspeed rear and/or front sway bar for a decent price. Best I can find now is $350 for a rear off nopionline.com. I have the $ for that, but finding it lower is always nice.
any suggestions would be appreciated :)

I wonder how similar your suspension is to that of the earlier Integras and Civics. Or the later ones for that matter.
My rear swaybar is OEM ITR and it cost me just over $100 after all was said and done. If you can find stiffer bars from other Honda cars (usually pretty easy), that's a cheaper alternative.

Yeah $350+ seems kind of expensive. Nopi (http://www.nopionline.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=dspparts&vL1ID=0&makeid=140&modelid=030&catyear=1990&catid=0010&pcid=460&vTitle=1990%20HONDA%20CRX%20Suspension%20Sway%20Ba r&vaffid=0) lists two neuspeed crx sway bars, and nothing describing the difference between the two...except that the first one is 'factory' and is a hell of a lot cheaper.
Pics of them are the same, what I'm wondering is if the $180 difference between the two means that much...

Call Nopi and ask what the dimensions are.

The price difference is probably just for mounting brackets and the like. So if you have a stock sway bar, you're in a lot better shape. PM or AIM me and I can see about hooking you up with a better price.

i was told suspension techniques were pretty good, especially for the price..anyone use these? if not im going wiht Eibach or Neuspeed myself.
only thing im putting on back brakes from a 1990 integra, as wlel as the front for teh all around disk brakes and larger ones in the front. in anycase...
Do i order a sway bar for the crx or for an integra?

use sway bars for a crx :D
I finally got my suspension techniques setup on today. i haven't felt THAT large of a difference in my car since the b16 was dropped in. totally changes handling for the better.
front bar was cake, but I had to have a shop help me get the rear sway bar in.
also if you're planning on getting integra front discs, you might wanna invest in a camber kit as well. I had that done about a month ago and started to see some uneven tire wear issues. researched it and it turns out the point where the upper ball joint mounts on the integra sticks out about 1/3 inch more on the integra than on the crx knuckles, which throws the camber off a little.
good luck
