i want to lower my bimmer my question is what would be the best shocks and springs to go with and how hard would it be to do it myself.
i want it to look good and still ride smooth. its a E36 318

The suspension on an E36 is fairly simple to swap out. I had my struts out on saturday in under an hour for all 4.

The best combo will always be a matched set. If you just want a nice ride and good price go with the H&R Cup Kit. It is matched springs and shocks for a decent price without making your ride too harsh.

this is what I was talking about. The full suspension for under $600

Its really not that hard to do yourself, you can even get a loaner spring compressor at Autozone.

but if you cant, or dont want to, take it to Autolab.

yeah this place quoted me $180 down the street from my house to swap out the springs. im sure me and my buddies would be able to do it but i want to get my civic running first incase i dont have anything to drive for a day or 2.

its not very hard, even less hard if you have air tools, just time consuming.
