I heard that the 90-96 Q45 Infiniti is just as good of a brake upgrade as 300zx upgrade..i heard the Q45 is a little easier...u can use the stock brake lines...wondering if anyone else can shed some light on this, because i might go this way if its a little less inexpensive but just as good...even though it would look better with the 300z calibers so u could see the NISSAN on them

in all honesty the 2 piston q45 calipers would only save you a couple dollers on the rotors and calipers. I wouldn't say that having to upgrade your lines to braid lines is a bad thing... its well worth the money. ANyways there are ways to do a z brake upgrade the cheap way. Mine only cost me $150 a side plus braided liners. (rebuilt calipers and brembo slutted and drilled)...
only downside to using the z calipers is wheel clearance. The fixed 4 piston caliper sticks out further and creates difficulty with wheel selection.
anyways the q45 swap is done quite a bit and is not a bad upgrade at all, but for the little difference in cost i would suggest going to the z brakes. z32 brakes: 4 piston, fixed with 30mm rotors..... q45 brakes : 2 piston sliding calipers with i think 28 or 26 mm rotors, however not for sure on thickness

yeah...i think the wheel clearence would be my biggest problem...thanks for the input!
I installed SS lines on my stock brakes and they seem to brake great with some hawk hps pads.

its always a good idea to go with braided lines, even if you dont upgrade anything else. Try out some decent pads or upgrade to a bigger caliper/rotor. For the 240's i would choose the latter due to the simplicity and cost of attaining bigger calipers and rotors.
If you end up doing the brake swap (either q45 or z32) shoot me an email or pm and i'll enlighten you on the cheaper way to do it.
