Well I use to have the Z-Engineering supercharger, but have now moved on to a turbo.

One guy I know who supercharged his vr6 ended up blowing the engine. Dunno if that was from the supercharger or not.

The supercharger was nice, and in my opinion requires less maitenance than a turbo and less problems. I never had any problems with the supercharger and is pretty simple to bolt on and go. But im a power fiend, so I wanted more power and went turbo. I haven't really driven my car since I had the turbo kit and other work done because of a problem I ran into, and had to rebuild my engine. It depends on how much power you want and how much money you have to play around with. The turbo kit is going to cost a little more because of other things you have to buy. The new VF-Engineering Vortech supercharger kits are really good and have 3 stages, so its really just depends what your looking for.

Neuspeed only makes a supercharger for a 2-liter cross-flow. Actually having a turbo vr6, I know that they are a huge pain in the ass. It is a lot of time, money and patience to boost a vr. I have heard that it is better and more economical to turbo one and leave the superchargers to Mustangs. With a supercharger you are somewhat limited to upgrades, but with a turbo the option is much more open. If I had to do over again, I would have saved the money for a down payment on a house. Especially having a Corrado, the damn thing is out of commission more than it is running. When it is running, it is the best, but when it is broken it is the worst. I'm sure you have heard that before!

I hear you. Everytime I fix something on mine something else breaks. It's quite annoying. Anyways. If I keep the Corrado I'm doing a turbo conversion b/c the stock supercharger stinks. But if I keep the Jetta. I'm going to supercharge it. So I'm on the line of either.

Sure don't. If you go turbo I would recommend ATP, and also would choose the vortech supercharger over the neuspeed. Definetely take your time and decide on whats best for what you want to do. I've completely rebuilt my engine, and went all out on it. The bottom end is pretty much bullet proof and is overbored to a 3.1L now. If you have the money to play with, I would do the turbo and build up your engine, or if you don't want to mess with all that and want it to be more reliable, go with the supercharger. yeap, g60 supercharges blow ass, there the most common problem on the corrado lol. shit but there worth a pretty penny of ebay. Do what hermann did allison. with his corrado, the turbo conv.

Listen andy, the neuspeed charger puts out about as much hp as my balls. thats why you dont hear of many people runnin them. if your goin supercharger, do what justin had. that is the most common way for boostin vr6's. but who wants to follow the crowd, push big par like justin and rj and run a vr6turbo.

I have rode in justins car when it was supercharged and rode in it a couple days ago with the turbo, and i must say after all the shit that he had to go through to get it going i still think that it was worth it. Plus a steal for that engine that Graham had in his VR6.

well you'll have less problems. Parts are cheaper. And the engine was made with a turbo so it will hold a turbo a lot better and longer than a VR6. After owning 2 VR6's I wont own another. Also how many VR6 T's do you see in MK3's? How many 1.8T's in MK3's? That's another reason I went 1.8T in my corrado.

justin shush. wait when I'm done. you'll pull reguardless now b/c I'm running a STOCK turbo. No mods. Maybe it's b/c I've had 2 MK4 VR6's and they both have fallen apart. Now if my 1.8T engine that I have now, has more power than a VR6, and I modify it, it will pull. It's cheaper than a VR6-T swap (not counting my drivetrain swap). Part's are hella cheaper. So maybe it's who spends less $$ on maintenence and parts and still pulls. :D

only one way to find out.......vroom vrooom! I think both engines have lots of potential. I dont know why they put a supercharger on the G60 to showcase the Raddos, they should have used the VR6.

We will use my car as an example. I have a long list of stuff done to my engine, and drive my car hard everyday, on high boost, and no problems. I drive everywhere without a daily driver and guess what? No problems. How is that for reliable?

Any car should last for a long time if you, the owner, takes care of it and performs regular maintainance on it.

For both sides of the coin, yes, Hondas have one of the purest names in the business for reliability. As well as do VWs. Keep in mind the amound of cars that are manufactured and sold as to the amount of these cars you still see around. That should give you the reliability ratio. I'm on my 5th VW, and every car has their quirks. It just seems that these "quirks" are more scrutinized on a VW, thats all. I am sure that Hondas have similiar problems, but never owning one, I would not know what they are.

Yeah its a corrado with a turbo kit on it, and slow as balls, top of the line car right there. :rolleyes: When you actually drive a car, problems usually arise. As much as I drive my car, as many miles I put on my car, and as hard as I drive my car everyday, with only two minor problems over the past 7 months, its holds up pretty well.
