Anyone know of any shops that have a good yota mechanic. My car needs a valve lash adj. and the guy around here said "That's not the kind of work I'm looking for". So I told him I'd take my car somewhere else from now and and tell all my friends to do the same.

most of the late model Toyotas are shim over bucket so you'll need about $150 worth of special tools. We have the tools and can do the adjustment for you. It will take a few days though since to do the adjustment you have to find which valves are out, pull those shims, mic them, add to the thickness the desired thickness so you'll get the right lash, and then go to the dealer and order the correct shim.
If theyre in the Cincy warehouse we can have them in a day or so.
