I'm thinking of joining LAC once my back is healthy again and I can run and play and do all those things you normal people are allowed to do ;) Although, my little friend, tell premier you heard about them from the *insert my chiropractor here,pm me for name,so they dont get overloaded with supposed patients and they cut the program* and you will get a two week pass.......but dont mention that I told you!!! mwahahahahahahahahahaha
(see that sign every time I get one of those blasted adjustments)

Whats junk about weights? Cardio by itself isn't going to keep your ass from getting fat.

<girlie voice>But, but, I'm a girl and I don't wanna get big and look like a bodybuilder.</girlie voice>
Andrew's right....weight training is something that women need as much as men.

Lmao, true story!
Unless of course... you do tons of cardio and you stop eating.

These guys are right. Weight training is important to women too, probably more so. I get so pissed when I see a girl with flabby arms. A woman with some tone is so much sexier than one w/out.
And! Stay with me here ladies....you WILL NOT get huge from lifting. Let me try to explain why as quick and easy as possible.
YOU DON"T HAVE ENOUGH TESTOSTERONE! Guys can put on muscle much easier than you and are stronger than you for that simple reason. Granted there may be other reasons, but that is #1 on the list. That is why bodybuilders take steroids...it's testosterone. So, w/out 3 hours in the gym a day and the help of mass amounts of steroids, women will not gain significant amounts of muscle from lifting.
Believe me, my skinny ass spent 9 months straight (2 hours a day) in the gym w/ no supplements my senior year in college. I was eating an average of 100+ g of protein and 6,000 calories a day naturally (from food). After all that dedication and hard work, I managed to put on about 20 lbs. Trust me, you ladies aren't going to do anything close to that and even if you did, I'd be surprised if you gained 5 lbs. of muscle.
You might be thinking..."oh god! 5 lbs....I'd be so fat!"

Not only would look a hell of a lot better, but you'd be stronger and look slimmer than you did. It's not about weight. Throw your scale out!

Premier can suck it. I went there ONCE to visit and KY_PGT was working the front desk and made me sign in. I asked if anyone from Premier was gonna call me because I wasn't interested in joining and I didn't want to be bothered by them. He assured me they wouldn't call me. I still haven't stopped getting messages at home. :squint:

5 lbs only cause muscle weighs more than fat.
Rock on, great post. :bigthumb:
BTW, sounds like you were super overtraining there for awhile. I'm suprised you didn't encounter (or maybe you did) MAJOR plateaus in progress.

And its the truth, hopefully if I can ever go back to running, I'll be right back in the gym working on my leg muscles and upper body. Not to get like bulging arm muscles but to just kinda aid myself in keeping up shape. And when it gets like -2 outside those first ten minutes of the run are hell, much easier to just work out at the gym that day :)
