like the topic states, my old project car. I don't have the time or money to get her finished, so I'm gonna give someone else the chance to own a rare muscle car.

1966 Dodge Charger, first year of the Charger. not too many people know what it looks like:

me and my dad were in the process of doing a complete ground up rebuild. the car was completely disassembled, all rust was either ground out and replaced with new metal, or was sanded down and treated with rust-killer (i.e. surface rust). the car is currently halfway finished, the body has been primered and ready to paint. the trunk and front wheel wells were painted in green and the wheel wells cleared (the car was going to be painted green). interior has been totally redone, seats reupholstered in green leather and restitched like the factory. new carpeting, dash, door panels were redyed in green as well as all interior panels. headlights are of the hideaway style, both the motors still work. many N.O.S. (New Old Stock, not nitrous) parts have been purchased (i.e. taillights, some trim pieces, etc.). only thing left to truly be rebuilt would be the motor and i suppose the suspension. 383 was taken out of the car smoking, so it will need work, or you could just do like i was planning and buy a crate motor. brakes were rebuilt as well (heavy duty 11" drums). all gauges are working.

guys and girls, this is a rare car, just needs a little bit of work and will be a true eye catcher. words can't really express the length of detail we went to to get this car back to original condition, anyone who wants to come take a look at it, please just let me know and we can get together to take a look at it. I hope to get some pictures up soon, but like i said it really needs to be seen in person to appreciate.

I honestly have no idea what to price it at. Like I said all the necessary parts are there to put it back together, but I just don't have the time or money to get it completed. Please make me some reasonable offers, and if anyone would like to take a look at it, please feel free to email me or send me a PM.

sorry for the extra long post, just want everyone to know what kind of work was put into this car

Dave, if I were you I wouldn't take any less than $3500. Especially if the car is now rust free.

Anyone unfamiliar with these cars; They are a piece of american history, this was a ground-breaking car in the muscle car era. Someone give this car a good home and return it to the road.

Dave, I doubt you'd see this as a reasonable offer, but if you'd take 1,000 I'd be more than happy to take it off your hands. Not meant to be insulting, but it's really all I got right now.

back again, somebody please make me an offer on this car. All that's left to do is reassemble and rebuild the motor. A 383 is included, it just needs to be bored out and rebuilt. Or just drop in a crate motor (hemi would be ideal)

I need it gone quick, school is approaching fast:(

Bump again. This is the complete car. I REPEAT, every part you need to finish the project is included. All that is left is to reassemble the car, all the hard work and restoration has been taken care of. I know somebody out there wants a classic muscle car in their garage, now is the chance! $3500 OBO takes it

Where are u located at. I might be interested. The reserve police organization that I belong to is looking for a musclecar to fix up and raffle off next year at our annual car show. Let me know where the car is located at and in the meantime i will talk to our president and see if he is interested. Thanx.

The car is located off Newcut Road, down towards Outer Loop. If you'd like I can see what I can do about getting it out to show you (it's currently parked in a shed with all kinds of crap around it, it's hard to get to)

Wolffman
11-14-2003, 03:09 PM
That's cool. Ill get back to you as soon as I talk to our president. Is all that it needs paint job, suspension work, motor. Im pretty sure that it needs some other stuff but are these the major things.

Regulator
11-14-2003, 03:12 PM
Well the whole car is apart. It needs to get painted, put back together, possibly freshen the suspension, and drop the motor back in. Everything it needs to be put back together comes with the car.
