yeah, so I have had this probe sitting in my driveway for quite some time, a little over a year now, and it doesn't run. I was kinda wanting to fix it so I have a daily driver for the winter time, so I don't have to drive my prelude in the snow. anyway, I can't figure anything out, so I thought maybe the more knowledgeable people may be able to help.

First off, it's a 93 probe se, 4 cyl dohc. here is what happened when it broke: I was driving along, and it started acting like it was going to die at a stop light, then when I pressed the gas, it was like it had no power and didn't want to go so I thought it would be a good idea to bring it home...as soon as I pulled into the driveway, it died and would not restart. I reset the fuel pump, and it started right up, then less than 1/8 mile down the road, it died again, wouldn't start...resetting the fuel pump didn't work this time. So, i get it back home, replace the distributor cap and rotor button, spark plugs, wires, everything that i could think of ignition wise. no luck. So, after that, I checked the fuel line to make sure it was getting fuel and it was (i thought it may be the fuel pump gone bad.)

I was all out of answers, so I gave up and went out and bought the prelude so I didn't have to deal with it. Now I am thinkin I would like a daily driver for the winter time, and would like to get this fixed. maybe even sell it, i dont know. I am still all out of answers, which is why I am askin you domesic owners for help. any advice at all you could give me would be great. Thanks!! (sry for the long post btw)

Maybe a new fuel filter...

yeah, could be that, or the fuel pump might have issues. How many miles are on it? I'll check my haynes manual under the troubleshooting section to see if I can think of any other possible causes.

thanks guys, I haven't checked the fuel filter, but i do know that when i checked the fuel line, it was definately getting fuel that is why i ruled the fuel pump out. Any info from your Haynes manual would be wonderful...i am really lost here. Thanks!!

What does it do when you try to start it? Does it crank? I would say the ignition is more than likely OK since you replaced so many of the parts. Odds are its getting spark.

To me it sounds like your pump is bad. My old TA did the same thing.
