HAHA Okay let's stop whoring the girls thread :)
Forreal, I have ZERO input, bc I don't eat healthy stuff. I wish I did, though, I'm going to die of a heartattack from eating so much cheese everyday!

My sis eats a balance diet which include a lot of weight watchers and lean cusine stuff and does jazzercise. She is an instructor and very fit. Do not do diet bill or take any other shortcut because you will gain it back as quickly as you lost it. If you ever seen me you will wonder why in the hell I know all this since I am very large but I am naturally big (size 8 hat, 15 wide shoes, 21in neck) but I cannot lose weight for anything even though I don't care too. But if you like how you look then keep it that way.

what are you people doing in the health and fitness forum? Shoo! Shoo I say! Let the girl get some real advice :)
Best thing to do is just watch what you eat and exercise. Exercise is pretty basic. Do some compound movements like pull-ups and squats to get your strength up, and do some basic movements with some dumbbells, like curls, tricep extensions, etc. Wear yourself out with those and that will build a leaner body.
Now, the most important part to geting leaner, the diet! Avoid fatty foods like the plague. No soda either, strictly skim milk and water. Keep notes of your protein intake.
You want to have a serving of carbs in the morning, and a serving at lunch. Dont worry about counting them, just make sure you get your fair share. Couldnt hurt to get some more in ya prior to a workout either. Avoid carbs before bed tho.
Stay off the fats as I said, no more than 20-25grams a day. Fast food is NOT an option.
Really try and get your protein intake up there. Meats and dairy products are excellent sources of protein. Tuna and chicken are the best ways to go as they have little fat and lots of protein. Attempt to eat one gram of protein per pound you weigh.
Do all that and you'll probably lose about 2lbs a week. Remember, focus on progress, not the goal.

Exercise harder than you eat. Do lots of compound movements and lots involving legs, they are the biggest muscles in the body and burn more calories and release more hormones when worked.
Stay away from repetition. Do NOT run everyday, or if you do run everyday, vary the style of running that you do, (sprint one day, jog the next, run full out the next etc) and come up with different cardio exercises. Keep your body guessing. The more you repeat yourself the more your body grows efficient at doing it, aka it burns LESS calories than it did the day before.
I hate people that starve themselves, dont do that. As kyle said try to stay away from junk food, but don't try to give it up completely cold turkey, you will lose your mind. Just try to eat better in the weekdays and maybe chill out and eat what you want on weekends, but still within reason.

Still wrong there. You're almost getting it Kyle, but keep in mind, there are things known as essential fatty acids. There are also essential amino acids. No such thing as an essential carbohydrate.
Get your carbs from fruits and veggies and add olive oil to your meals - on salads, on meat, on veggies. Your body needs fat to process a great deal of vitamins and minerals. The aversion to fat is the reason that most of our nation exhibits nutrient deficiencies. So in a nutshell, don't be afraid to eat fat from olive oil, nuts, coconut/coconut oil (yep, it's saturated and one of the healthiest oils there are....same fats as breast milk), real butter. Fat also slows down the absorption of carbohydrates, reducing the insulin effect, along with cranking up the metabolism. As I've said before, increasing my fat intake has only helped me to become leaner and stronger, increase endurance and power, and decrease recovery times.
