on the top of my foot. I wanted it on my hip, but that would be pointless because I plan on having children one day. Thoughts? Anyone have one there?

Well i can see that... but why? Thats what I don't get. Why would anyone want a tattoo on their foot?

I'm not saying she shouldnt do it. It's what she wants... go for it.

Maybe she doesn't have room anywhere else ;)

I doubt that though, she would've been more active in this forum

nah, i have one tattoo named george, right about my left breast.
I just like having a tattoo that I can look down and go "hello". Tattoos on the back arent appealing cuz the only way I could see it is if I had a mirror. I also like tattoo's that could be easily covered up for work or what not, but be let out for a party. Hence my first intuition for my hip. But, I feel whenever I have kids it will get stretched and distorted. And besides, the top of my foot is lonely. :)

If your questioning the point of tattoo's on your feet, you have to question tatto's entirely.

I saw a chick with a tattoo on each foot. One was a dragon fly and the other was a butterfly. I thought they were pretty cool, but woul;dn't the foot be kind of a painful spot?

My wife, Laura (lds on here) has a tattoo of a butterfly on top of her right foot. She likes it there because in the summer time/casual settings, she can wear sandals and show it off without having to resort to hoochey-gear (see tattoos on backs, hips, etc). When she needs to be more professional/presentable, she just wears shoes, flats, whatever the heck girls call them, to cover it up. Some things to note: it is a pretty damn painful spot to get one (not much flesh there to spread the pain) and the hands and feet are the fastest regenerating skin on the body (meaning it may fade faster there than other places). With that having been said, Laura's is holding up very well for going on two years now and looks great. And she handled the pain pretty well, too.

Tracy Oksendahl also has a tattoo on the top of her foot of a tire/wheel with flames and smoke. I think she's had it for about 3 years now, and hers still looks great.

^ What he said. It's a painful spot and they usually fade fairly quickly (socks/shoes). IF you're going to do it though, do it in the summer when you'll still be able to wear flip flops and not ruin it.
