After months of debating, my mother and I decided we're finally going to get black eyeliner tattooed on our eyes. It's something we've always wanted to do, and after a family friend and her daughter did it last week, we've finally made the decision to go through with it! I have a consultation tomorrow, showing the lady who will do it, exactly what I want my eyes to look like... I'm pretty nervous, for lots of reasons. First off, I don't want it too thick, but I want it noticeable, and secondly, ITS SO CLOSE to my eyeball... my eyeBALL! I need those, ya know? Ok, Ok, so anyways, I'm not scared ;) Does anyone know anyone who has done this? I'm pretty excited, it'll be pretty convienent... I'll be sure to post before and after pics, too! Wish me luck!!

and secondly, ITS SO CLOSE to my eyeball... my eyeBALL! I!!

That's the first thing that came to my mind, is it like a tatoo gun that puts it on just like a normal tatoo? Also I'm not too feminine so what exactly is eyeliner? Is that the one that goes along your eyelashes or what's it looks like?

i knew a girl in high school that shaved her eyebrows one time in middle school or someone shaved them while she was asleep as a prank, and they never grew back in so she had eyebrows tattooed on her face. but every couple weeks or so you could tell where the ones that were shaved off were trying to grow in , and it was a completely different spot.. god we made fun of her for that...

oh.. btw, imho.... if its what you want.. go for it

It is definately real, and it's not smart, IMO.

Tattoo'ed eyeliner is like plastic surgery. If you're sooo unhappy with yourself that you think you need permanent enhancements, then eyeliner tattoos aren't going to change how you feel. IMHO, I think that people who feel the need to ALWAYS have their hair done up, or ALWAYS have makeup on are ashamed of who they really are. I think the most attractive women are girls who can go out to the store in sweats, a 2min ponytail, a t-shirt and no makeup and still be happy confident and beautiful.

Beauty is something that radiates from the inside, and no amount of hairspray or eyeliner can ever change how people really perceive you.

Maybe you could make some permanent changes to your soul, instead of your face...But ultimately do what is going to make you happy; and there is absolutely nothing wrong with wanting to feel attractive. :)

Good luck.

My sister has it done. And used to do it for a job. She got hers done 4 times. It looks really nice. Your eyes never turn red from eyeliner. You never have to buy eyeliner unless you want a different color and YES other colors do show up over the black. I think it is great Ideal. I'd do it if I had the money.

It's really not what you think it is.

In the past, when I've heard it it, I think the same thing: OMG how vain?

In all reality, it's smarter than having to put on eyeliner everyday for the rest of your life, and taking it off each night (causes wrinkles, like whoa), and in my case, I'm highly allergic and sensitive to 99% of eyeliners, and this way, I won't have to worry about my eyes always being bloodshot and red. My mom on the other hand, has a few more wrinkles under her eyes and has oiler skin than I do, so by the time she gets to work in the morning, its all over her face.

If you haven't actually looked up close at eyes that have been done, it's not what it sounds like. You can't tell a difference. The lady who does it has her cosmotology license and has been again to get certified to do this, believe me, I'm very anal about stuff like this, I've gotten it all checked out....

maybe i just dont understand why...everytime i have seen you i see no reason to get this done...like i could understand if you were all messed up looking and it warented a reason to get this done...but whats the point. I mean i dont like to do my hair in the morning...dosent mean im going to tattoo hair on my head.

Very well put... I have to agree with this guy :bigthumb:

IMO, I personally wouldnt do it. I think it's pretty dumb to get something (anything of that matter) tattoo'd on your face. I don't really see how this could make you happy at all. I'm pretty sure that you are a very beautiful girl (from what others have previously posted) inside and outside as well. Just remember that this is perminant...and if one day you decide you want it removed... tattoo removal leaves scares...do you really want scars on your eyes? I know I wouldn't. But honey, do whatever makes you happy. That's all that matters in the end, is that you're happy! :D

Once again, those who say it's a bad idea, really are misunderstanding the whole procedure. If I were to take all of my makeup off right now, I would still have SOME eyeliner in between my eyelashes and under my eyes. With permanent eyeliner, I won't constantly have the urge to itch and rub my eyes out! I'll try to pull up some pictures, but if you looked at two people (1 with, and 1 without), not a single one of you could pick which had it on permanently.

I'll be sure to post pics after its done a week from Wednesday ;) Also, it's not going to be thick at ALL, I don't want to look like I'm from the 80's! haha!

Preludebabygrl

Is it possible to tattoo all of your makeup on your face? I'd lay down the green to have that done for my fiance. That woman takes up the bathroom every morning for hours.

Actually, it is possible. After today, my mom is getting her lips done as well, but its not as dramatic as it sounds. I don't wear lipstick, so I'm not going *that* far! But really, people have been doing it forever, getting their eyeshadow, eyebrows, even blush all permanently tattooed on. (I know this isn't true tattooing, but I don't know what else to call it!)

In a totally unrelated comment, she also has bought these toilet paper holders that hold like three rolls. You have to raise it off the holder to use it. How do I do that while peeing (standing up). Martha Stewart is brainwashing her. . . . . . .HELP!

Miss Banana

And you want to know how you get the tp off of the roll, because?

The problem is because its on this stand and the stand is on the floor, its hard to reach down while I'm standing to pee. The backof the toilet is already occupied with other stuff and the stand could not go there.

I would rock the permanent eyeliner. I've thought about it several times. on days you're too lazy to get up and do your makeup, you can wake up, slap on a little mascarra and *viola* instant make up! How much does a procedure like this run?

SamARR
08-27-2004, 08:45 PM
maybe i should get some tp painted on the wall next to the toilet that way it always looks full and i wouldnt have to go through the awful struggle of refilling it when it was gone, good lawd refilling the tp holder is hard! I'd be just like having tattoo'd eyeliner i think.

I'm not taking anything personally, because when I heard of my friend doing it, I told her she was crazy... but after seeing it done, you can hardly tell the difference, it looks exactly the same as it always had. In my case, I'm not doing it because I'm lazy, or because my eyes have to be like so perfect for real ( ), but I'm so tired of having bloodshot, itchy, wattery eyes because I'm so sensitive to it.

Guess I'll post up pics Wednesday night, and some of you might change your opinions when you see its not a big deal at all :) Thanks, though!

I think Chris was trying to give the girl a break about the pink civic. He wasn't tryingto be all sensitive it had just gone far enough. It was like 3rd grade all over again. Just like people will say doing something stupid while people will disagree with what you do too. Lets take a fictional person and call them asshat. Asshat tells someone not get eyeliner because it is stupid. Now asshat is riding around town in his turbo car and he pulls into walmart. A guy comes up tell him his turbo is stupid because the speed limit is only 55 and it is a waste of money. The shitty lesson I am trying to point out is "To each it's own". Just let her do what she wants.

I'm confused as to why you *are* doing this, if not to feel better about yourself...

It sounds really vain to me. Why can't anyone be happy with who they are anymore? Why do people constantly try to "fix" themselves?

And if you don't care what people think or say, why would you post it on the internet, on this board more specifically, where you *know* you're going to get flamed?

I have no problem with the way I look, if I did, I would be having plastic surgery or something LOL. I too thought it sounded vain, but after seeing it, I thought "What the hell", its not that big of a deal. Again, I'm not trying to 'fix' anything, especially since I don't wear tons and tons of makeup daily anyways.

I made the thread to see if anyone else on here had done it or knew someone who had, and if they had any input, not to let others decide what I want to do :) I wouldn't say I've been 'flamed', if people think its a bad idea, then thats great, I appreciate everyones comments, and if the next time you see me, I have a hole in my eyeball, you can point and laugh ;)

I wasn't expecting people to say "OMG THATS GENIUS!", because it's not really something that a lot of people go and do.. (maybe theres a reason for that? :x ) But if people want to say I'm vain because I'm going to get something permenent on my eyes, than that's okay with me, because I'm happy with who I am :)

Yes :) When I went for the consultation we looked at what they would look like after aging, and she told me that if I wanted the black to be very black, I would have to get it re-done every so often (5 years or so), because the black tends to fade and become greyish. There are no long term damage risks, or anything like that... Like I said, this is a needle close to my EYE, lol, I've *looked* into it a lot before deciding to go through with it :)

Aubrey, I had my first experience today @ JCC with the parking problem! HAHA, I probably jinxed myself, bc today I drove around the lot under 65 from 9:25-10:30 before finding a spot... and EACH time I drove around the lot, I scratched my front bumper on the pothole :( (Which was probably 20 times... = lots of scratches!!!) Next time you see me wavvvvvvvve your arms and dance until I see you! :)

I have no problem with the way I look, if I did, I would be having plastic surgery or something LOL.

Oh so you wouldn't have breast implants even if it weren't deadly to you? C'mon...

I personally think this is one of the dumbest things I've heard of. MAYBE if it was for some health reason, that you couldn't wear eyeliner, but then again if it's that bad then just go without. But hey who ever listens to what people say these days. If it's what you want to do then I guess go for it, good luck with the surgery to have permanent makeup.

there are some people who cant wear eyeliner because of the affect that it has on their eyes. so this is actually a way for them to make their eyes stand out. so thats really not fair. i dont have any kinda of condition that would enable me to get breast implants, infact me and my mom are the only ones in my family that dont have them. and i will never get them. i'm flat and i know and i dotn care, there my boobs. i like the way i am, i dont need to be fake. this is something very small, and that she wants to do. so why not leave it at that?

She said several times that shes hyperallergenic to alot of things and has an auto immune disorder, and that if she wears eye liner she has red itchy eyes. I think this is more than enough reason to go through with it.

I was skeptical at first, but leesha explained what it was, and i totally support her decision. :)

prolly not...people on this board don't understand things even when you repeat yourself 5 bazillion times. They are still going to think what they think is right, and what you are trying to tell them is wrong. It's just how it is. You could tell some of the people on here you are allergic and have a disease, and they'd sit and say "no you don't" just because that's the way they are.

It's your eyes, your body...your decision. do what makes you happy.

How bout on days youre too lazy, you just dont wear any? Theres somedays when my fiance wears no make up at all and I still think shes absolutely beautiful.

And if youre slightly allergic to it, why dont you just try not wearing it everyday?

It really makes me wonder about you girls when you feel that you have to put make up on every single day...
