If anyone can give me ANY information on ANY of these places it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for your time.

Hey Lexington residents, just wondering if any of you who are in or looking at apartments have had any experiences with one or more of the following places. I'm looking for a place to call home, and are somewhat limited because of my semester time income, but still have a small set of standards and tolerances just like anyone else.

1.) Forest Creek on Appian Way (off Tates Creek/Man O War)
2.) Spring House on Belleau Wood Dr (off Man O War past Nicholasvilled Rd)
3.) Breckenridge Court on Redding Rd (off Tates Creek)
4.) Kirklevington Hills on Kirklevington Rd (also off Tates Creek)

All of these fit my price range, and minimum square footage requirements, and have floorplans that look appealing to me. Here's what I've gathered so far. (all are one bed one bath unless specified otherwise).

Forest Creek:
* 704 sqft. $509/month
* Washer Dryer Connection
* All Electric, KU Electricity
* No Pets

Spring House:
* 676 sqft. $479/month
* 845 sqft. $559/month (2 bed, 1 bath)
* Washer Dryer Connection
* All Electric, KU Electricity

Breckenridge Court:
* 675 sqft. $554/month
* Washer Dryer Connection
* All Electric, KU Electricity
* Discounted Cable/Internet, Insight

Kirklevington Hills:
* 640 sqft. $545-$590/month
* 720 sqft. $565-$615/month
* All Utilities Paid

I also had looked at The Mansion on Nicholasville Rd, but decided they are just a hair out of my price range for duing the semester. It seems Breckenridge has the least amount of space for the money, whereas the first two are about tied there. Kirklevington's seems a little more expensive, but when you realize that all utilities are paid, it ends up the same, if not cheaper. The only downside to that one is the lack of a washer and dryer, which isn't that important to me, but somewhat of a factor.

As far as things I've read on review and ratings sites:

Forest Creek:
Nice and spacious, newer look. Management is difficult, and outside solicitation and salesman seem to be a real problem there, as well as theft from patios. No pool.

Spring House:
Somewhat difficult parking, but nice location. Younger tennants, sometime noisy, but nice floorplans and pretty well kept. Nice pool and tennis court.

Breckenridge:
Parking and navigation through the lots are a complete nightmare, especially on weekends. Frequent management changes and alot of cash for the amount of space inside. Facilities well maintained, somewhat busy location though.

Kirklevington Hills:
All maintenance issues promptly addressed. Courteous staff. Pretty well insulated and quiet, but outside traffic and also all the college kids at Tates Creek Village cause sometimes frequent distubrances.

If anyone can give me ANY information on ANY of these places it would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks for your time.

I used to live in Tates Creek Village acroos from Kirklevington Hills and it was ok...I live in Spring House right now, and it's great. I would recomend it. They have garages to rent out also, kinda nice addition.
Let me know if you choose SPring House, they are giving a referal Bonus, and I would split it with ya if you move in.:)

once you move into springhouse at the discounted move in rate, when it comes time to renew your lease dont be suprised if your lease jumps 60 bucks a month or maybe even more, thats ridiculous if you ask me, they lose more money if you move out

Nothing is signed yet, but we are REALLY liking Forest Creek. They are lacking things like a pool, and ball courts. But they make up for on the inside. Vaulted ceilings, fireplace, bookshelves (including a spot in the wall that holds up to a 36" TV). The apartments themselves are really nice, and are pretty new. The building that will be available to us later next month is only about a year old, and has only had one tennant living their previously, so you can guess the condition it is in. :bighthumb:

Thanks for the input guys, I'll let you know what all happens, and Richard I'll definately let you know if I end up over that way so you can get that referal.

Thanks again.
