one of my buddies in another state got a jdm h22 but never had the money to install it. so he's selling me his intake manifold. the plenums are already alot larger than my h23 ones and the manifold will bolt up fine however i was wondering if it will hurt anything to p n p the intake manifold. i know the plenums are already bigger but will it be anything like having to big of piping for an exhaust or will it just create more power?

I don't think it would cause you to lose power, but I wonder if a stock h23 head will be able to flow that much air. You may just be opening up the intake but the head will be your restriction. I say buy my h22 head and have get the power you want.....

well the head has been p n p as well so that might help out a little bit. i wish i had the money to buy your h22 head or i'd do it in a heart beat.

IMO if your going to p & p the manifold, have the ports on the head matched to the ports on the manifold. also did the head come with a larger TB? that would be one hell of a bottle neck if you had, all that freed up space and then a tiny tb. then get some big lumpy's and you'll be set.

is this sam? the throttle body looks the same size however the manifold looks huge compaired to the stock one. the weird thing is since its jdm the thermostat is right near the throttle body instead of facing the front near the header where it normally is. its not that the manifold won't match the p n p head its that the gasket will need to be bored out so that the airflow isn't just running into a wall of gasket. shouldn't be too hard to do.
