Looks like I will be picking up a '71 Bug. Needs to have fenders and hood put on, and shes missing the motor, but everything else is there. In decent shape, not too much rust.(saveable). The hood and fenders are from a super beetle. Can't wait to be rockin' this little machine, I've always wanted a bug :hitit:

I'm getting this thing for close to free..its a long story, but if anyone has a dual port 1600 cc motor, in good shape for a nice cheap price...let me know :) Oh yeah, and a windshield.

id put a 1.8L 8v from a rabbit and build it up a little, or put a 1.8L 16v motor in it and do very basic mods and itd be a really fast street car. I dont really care for aircooleds tho. the only one id prolly own is a porsche. If you wanted to get extreme you could put a VR6 in it. heh

Maybe later down the road, but I'd like to do some slight tweeking to the 1600cc. I'm also trying to get my sr20 project underway, so I don't plan on spending much cash on the motor just yet. Make it my new cruiser/daily driver once I fix the floorboards and get the motor in it. :bigthumb:

Still in the VW community with a different ride, now I have a 73' super beetle, insted of the 71 standard. Still need a motor for it. ;) This one has good floor pans, heater channels and such, just needs some slight front end work, and 3 some windows put back in, then it will be good as road worthy.
