found i rebel 450 stored in the shed out back of a friend's and turned into into a project to get it back on the road. changed the oil, filter, air filter (had acorns and various other interesting things in it), spark plugs and topped off/charged the battery. start up isn't very hard but it does lope a bit until really warmed up. it will then idle pretty steadily with the choke off. however, upon putting even the slightest twist on the throttle kills it. i'm guessing the primary jets might be clogged but i'm hoping it might be something nicer then tearing into the carb. i added a bottle of stp carb cleaner to the tank hoping it would help eat through most of the shit. anyway, anybody have any ideas?
