as you may or may not know, I run 2 clarion 8" subs powered by a Kicker KX 120.2 amp... anyway, they sound great and all, but then i got the speaker guards (black metal protectors for the subs) and when i installed them they started rattling. Well then the place I purchased the guards from said that Clarion doesn't make guards for their subs and that they just sold me generic 8" guards so therefore there's probably air getting between the box and the subs making the whole assembly rattle... i tried some rubber caulking where everything screws in on the sub where most of the rattling was coming from but it didn't help... any suggestions other than taking the guards off? (since i DO pack groceries and what-not and i don't want the subs damaged)
