and secondly. does anyone happen to have an extra passenger timing chain tensioner for a 4.6 SOHC layin around anywhere?
and a bolt for it would be real nice also:p

and last topic for this thread is my damn car. does yalls stang ever just get real pissy and just not cooperate with you just cause you didnt get her everything you promised her?

i swear. i promised her the headers, plus the new head gaskets that was the reason behind pulling the heads.

and while she was being taken apart, i found a great deal on a clutch, and she needs a clutch so very badly.

well, for the next 2 days, the whole ordeal went great. until i damaged a new head gasket while puttin the head on. and since i had to buy a new one, the clutch buying is delayed a week or two.

and since then. shit has just not been workin. nobody havin parts i need in stock and not being able to get them for a week. bolts breaking off in the head. short money. shes just workin against me.

and even my girlfriend noticed it. actually she pointed it out. i just choked it all up to my bad luck. but it all makes sense.:D

i really cant wait till i get that clutch in 2 weeks. (and the aluminum d/s, and maybe even an aluminum flywheel if shes good. but shell find out about those then :p )

Just a little FYI, spray paint will not stay on the calipers. You need to buy brush on high temp paint and do it. Or it will flake off quite quickly.

i have found this to be true. mine is starting to flake. and has since i first painted them.

i have put 3 coats on them in a lil over 2 years:D

Yep, that is y i put High Temp Enamel paint on top of the orginal clearcoat. I put like 4 coats.

I want a newer GT of course. Maybe if I pray to the car gods, I can get an 03 Cobra or a 99 or 01 2nd choice. I know, I'm just frustrated with her right now and she's getting old and near the end of the bolt-ons that I can do before diving into the engine. The offer still stands, but I'm going up front to sales to see what they can do on a black 01 GT coupe that's sitting up there. Wish me luck.....

I checked several dynos across the internet, and most completely stock bullitts pulled 239 at the wheels, which translates to ~280HP at the crank. Ford says 275HP

Well with exhaust, intake and chip I laid down 252HP and 296TQ...Vi has about the same mods. Minus a few for the auto and you two should be pretty even.

i got my optima red top battery today. gonna get my battery cutoff switch within the next week. and then ill wire it all up before july. so ill be legal for corral day :D

and ill hopefully get a t/a the week after. (plus i may get an extra spare tire (gonna see what the guy wants for it). throwing some pep boys cheapies on them. and botta boom ............. cheap, legal, skinnies :D)

hey guys, I got my ignition Thursday night, and put it in, what a difference this made....no more falling off at 4500+, she's silk all the way to fuel cutoff(not that I tried it)......still just a basically stock 95 5.0, but it runs MUCH better now

by the way, I went with the performance distributors 5.0 firepower kit, extremely satisfied

we need a better meeting place though. cox's park gets pretty hectic on nice weekends in the summertime.

id say the purple lot at waterfront park. its not used that much as its at the very far east end of river front park.

and theres plenty of parking. plus bathrooms right there.

but thats just me. maybe some better location could be suggested. but i like the idea of a nice downtown location.
