depends on how long u have had it done... i had mine for about 1 year and 3 months...took 30 mins to grow back completely.

I can leave mine out for weeks at a time and it doesnt grown back. just tight when i put it back in. like a virgin. But I have an 8g soon to be a 6.

i don't have mine done yet but i do want to get it done i'm just scared. lol. i am a baby i know. i got my bellybutton done and that was a breeze but i dunno. my tongue just seems a lot worse. :sigh: maybe one day.

Actually, it doesn't hurt AT ALL. I am a huge wuss, I don't like needles, and I tried to run out of the shop, my friends had to literally push me back in. I have my belly button pierced too, got that about 1 1/2 years before my tongue.... the tongue hurt much LESS than the bellybutton. It literally felt like I was putting an earring through an already pierced hole- no pain whatsoever. Go for it! If you don't like it, you can always take it out.
